Group Therapies & Services
In addition to supporting relationships between a child and his/her family members, it is also important to enable meaningful relationships with peers. Therapists may recommend individual sessions first, and when ready, a dyad (two students), followed by larger groups (i.e. a social skills class) to conduct the therapy treatment.

Benefits of Group Therapy
-
Re-enforce or re-establish the bond between siblings and friends
-
Learn from observing/imitating peers (new friends, older children)
-
Facilitates social understanding, which enables children to use appropriate social skills
-
Games, arts/crafts and play skills are interwoven with fine and gross motor coordination activities

Our groups are tightly fit for the ability to tailor to the needs of the children. Frequency of intervention depends on the needs of each child and his/her availability.
Playgroup, Playschool and Social Skills Classes
Little Sparks prides itself in providing everything young children would need for learning and developmental support.

The ability of children to function in a group setting is a life necessity. Although most children with special needs might need individual support at first, all children, at some point, will need to add group classes or therapy to their routine in order to practice and apply individually learned skills in a controlled group setting.
